  13. I am using a Magnavox CDD-461 external CD-ROM drive with a
  14. 386SX/16 MS-DOS machine running DOS 5.0 with about 606K available
  15. memory after DOS.  When I load Magazine Rack from Information
  16. Access Company, I often get the error message "Packed file is
  17. corruptD," or often my machine simply hangs.  Perhaps once out of
  18. every five times, the program loads successfully.  I have tried
  19. loading MAGRACK from the CD-ROM drive and from my hard drive,
  20. both with the same dissatisfying results.  Using the DOS command
  21. LOADFIX also does not alter the situation.

  23. I suspect a defective disk, but does anyone have any other ideas
  24. as to what may be going wrong?  Unfortunately, Information Access
  25. has discontinued the product and is no longer offering support.
