  13. Does anyone know of a test suite to exercise CD-ROM drives?  I'd like
  14. to compare the serial and random access performance of a few drives 
  15. (NEC and Toshiba in desktop and portable configurations with a variety
  16. of SCSI adapters).  My goal is to select the fastest drive/adapter 
  17. combination.

  19. The utilities in the test suite would (ideally) be similar to Norton's
  20. disk testing utilities for MS-DOS.  If I could have my cake and eat it
  21. too, I'd like utilties for both the Macintosh and the PC.
