- It's to do with Kodak [recordable] photo CDs, a way of storing images on CD.
- If there's space left on the CD, you can add more pictures in a later session.

- Normal CD-ROM drives can only read images stored during the first session;
- more recent drives can cope with the newer index recorded during later
- sessions, hence "Multi-session".

- If you're never intend to use photo CD, you don't need to worry about it.
- OTOH its a useful capability to have if you might want photo CD sometime.
