- A while ago I thought I found a gold mine. At a yard sale someone was selling a
- CDR-1553S Hitachi Drive for $25. I scooped it up and didn't ask to many questions.
- However I am having problems getting the correct cables for it. The drive came
- with a CD-IFI4-A interface card. I have tried numerous times to get Hitachi and
- their distributor to send me the correct cable but they seem to have a problem
- understanding their own equipment. The CD unit has a 50 pin centronics connector
- on it and the interface card has a 37 pin regular connection. They have sent me
- the CD-CBL-S which is a 50-50 centronics conections cable.
-
- Long story but here is my question. Could some one with the CDR-1553S drive
- please tell me what cable and or connection do I need to hook this thing up? Do
- I need just a converter at this point from centronics 50 to DB37? (unfortunately
- the seller did not have a manual.
-
- Thanks........................................Dan
