- I purchased a new NEC CDR-36 drive this January, getting it for a very
- low price. Literally a day after I bought it, I heard from the EduCorp flyer
- NEC had offered a driver upgrade program that was supposed to improve the
- performance of the CDR-36 (and CDR-73.) Unfortunately, the program expired
- in Dec. 1992 - two weeks before I bought my unit. My question is- has anyone
- upgraded their drive under this program? Is the upgrade significant? Can
- anyone suggest a means on how I can get this upgrade (maybe the upgraded
- driver kits were/are for sale?) Otherwise, I'll just have to bother NEC on
- this one..... only the version 1.0 drives qualify. Thanks in advance,
-
