- That's one way to look at it. Another way is that I was always afraid
- to put "Books In Print" out where people could look at it. At $1000 for
- six disks (sent every other month), I didn't feel that I could take the
- risk that I might turn my head the wrong way at the wrong time. It'd
- take just a few seconds to steal the CD. Yes, the odds are pretty low
- that somebody'd do this --- but I had to send back the old CD to R.R.
- Bowker to continue my subscription. If I couldn't send a disk back
- because I didn't have it, would Bowker charge me for another whole
- subscription?
