  17. That's one way to look at it.  Another way is that I was always afraid
  18. to put "Books In Print" out where people could look at it.  At $1000 for
  19. six disks (sent every other month), I didn't feel that I could take the
  20. risk that I might turn my head the wrong way at the wrong time.  It'd
  21. take just a few seconds to steal the CD.  Yes, the odds are pretty low
  22. that somebody'd do this --- but I had to send back the old CD to R.R.
  23. Bowker to continue my subscription.  If I couldn't send a disk back
  24. because I didn't have it, would Bowker charge me for another whole
  25. subscription?

  28. something that might have helped them.
