  11. There seems to have been a little poetry flowing by here lately, so I thought
  12. I'd throw out the only poetic piece I've written in several years.  That it
  13. is rhymed and metered is unusual for me; I usually tend toward 'free verse.'
  14. Somehow, though, it seemed to fit here.  Also, I don't know why, but actually
  15. posting this here kinda makes me nervous...  I'm open to critique, but... don't
  16. harsh on it too hard, hmm?...

  20.                                 My own Paradox,
  21.                               Self-contradictory,
  22.                               Human-accepted, and
  23.                                  Human-denied;
  24.                               Silently standing, I
  25.                                Wield my humility:
  26.                              Forged from my modesty,
  27.                                Born out of pride.
  28.                             Light of the heavens, and
  29.                                Dark of the world,
  30.                             I travel the travelled to
  31.                                Make my own path;
  32.                                 Walking alone--
  33.                               Always accompanied,
  34.                              Friend of complacency,
  35.                                Comrade of wrath.
  36.                               Looking behind me--
  37.                            The road lies before me--
  38.                         Knowing oblivion, longing to be,
  39.                             Hidden from no man, and
  40.                              Stranger to everyone,
  41.                               Finding I'm mostly
