-
- His original machine was a ZX-80. I heard it was terrible.
-
- Mine was a Sinclair ZX-81. I mail ordered mine for $100.00 .
- The Timex 1000 came out later. Mine had only 1 Kb of ram and I later
- bought the 16 Kb expansion for it. Had to hold the expansion on with
- a rubber band or it would wobble and crash the computer. Why they put
- an edge connector on the expansion and not on the machine, I'll never know.

-
- Yup, the original flexible-membrane keyboard { AFAIK }.
-
- Heat pad !? Oh yeah, it could warm a small room in just 30 minutes...
-
- Some company came out with a 64 KB expansion, and then figured out a way
- to connect 16 of them for a full meg of paged memory... I never tried it...
- I think they also came out with some way to add 5.25 inch floppy drive
- to it and a real keyboard... About at the level of the IMSAI 4004 !
- i.e. add-ons that were way over-priced...
