  14. Thyra, finally beginning to catch up to a weeks backlog of posts, at last
  15. manages to step out of 'the between', and hears her little avian friend's
  16. tale.

  18. The feline shapeshifter pads over to Feather, changing as she does so into
  19. a large, long-furred tawny golden housecat. She arrives at Feather's side,
  20. pads around the little bird in a circle three times, and lays down,
  21. encircling the little grey bird in a mass of warm cat-fur, cuddled and
  22. comforted from all sides at once, like a mother cat that has found her lost
  23. kitten.

  25. Thyra's voice croons to the little bird. "Oh, Feather, I'm -so- sorry I
  26. couldn't respond sooner. I want to talk with you at length about this. I'll
  27. e-mail to you, 'cause there is far more to be said than bandwidth limits
  28. here can allow."

  30. Thyra opens all her empathic chanels, and bathes the little bird in a warm,
  31. soothing glow. She continues their conversation telepathicly, just between
  32. them.
