- John looks up. "I've still got the master for _Callahans Coffeehouse 1991_,
- the tape I edited and sent out last year. At the moment, I'm not sending out
- any more copies (not having easy access to a dubbing deck right now), but
- might be able to make a few more copies if needed."
-
- "But, as I mentioned on the credits sheet, any Callahanian can make a copy
- of the tape, so long as it's for 'private noncommercial use' (which largely
- means you don't try to make money off it), and you include a copy of the
- credits sheet. This is basically to protect the rights of the people who
- wrote and performed songs on the tape. If you'd like to use selected songs
- in other contexts, check it out with the songwriter first. Their email
- addresses are on the credits sheet, though Steve Savitzky's has since
- changed to steve@crc.ricoh.com.
-
- "CC-1991 is basically a closed project now (something I inadvertently assured
- by not releasing it until 1992). But if you want to include it in a
- larger Callahans project, such as by putting new songs on the flip side
- of the tape, that's fine with me (so long as you abide by the copying
- policies on the credits sheet). Or if anyone feels like going whole hog and
- soliciting contributions for another year's edition, that would be wonderful.
- (I had fun doing the last one, but I think I'll step aside in favor of
- someone with better equipment and faster turnaround time.)"
