- Yes, something like that is possible. Some friends of mine (Swedish
- also) did that this summer. It wasn't from a commercial rental agency
- but from a private party. The person had moved to Los Angeles, and
- didn't want to drive his car all the way. Apparently, this is
- not uncommon, and my friends were able to make plans for this before
- arriving in the US.
