- First, the mail address problem. I believe that the simplest
- solution is to use the appropriate network domain name after the
- @-symbol in the address. Once it is determined that the address
- part before the @-symbol applies to a particular domain, then the
- format for that domain should hold. I will check the relevant RFC
- docs to see if this is not the method advocated there already.

- Second, on the date problem, using the ISO YYYY-MM-DD human-readable
- format (this dropfile is intended to be human readable) can likely
- be used without changing the current status of this line. ISO
- points out that this format is sufficiently different from others to
- be easily detectable.
