- i'm putting up a board in february with a UUCP connection. i'm searching for
- the 'best' options in regards to BBS software. i ran a WWIV board back in the
- days of version 3.21D and have called BBS' running later versions -- some i'm
- familiar with that package. thought it was decent, but it's not like i'm
- emotionally attached to it or anything.
-
- how flexible is the latest version of WWIV? do i need source to change around
- the menu commands; for instance adding and deleting items? a particular
- function i want to pull off is to run a 'door' from the base menu. oh, and
- what _is_ the latest version of WWIV?
-
- i'm talking about WWIV because i was thinking of running waffle under it. i
- sure would like to see waffle in action before i go about setting it up. any
- volunteers?
-
- and finally, i did get a response earlier on a similar topic talking about
- "Virtual BBS". i have yet to check it out for myself, but it sounds pretty
- cool.
-
- i welcome comments and/or suggestions... although my past experience with this
- newsgroup has been pretty meager in regards to responses. maybe YOU can
- change that fact by RESPONDING.
