  19. Bacchus, also known as Dionysus (from Greek and Roman mythology), was the
  20. god of wine.  He led a "religion", which celebrated nature and fertility
  21. through wine and orgies.  Church services must have been a blast.

  34. Those symbols are called emoticons.  They emphasize how you are feeling
  35. about what you write.  :-) is a sideways smiley face. (turn your
  36. head to the left - see it?)  It's used to indicate you are smiling
  37. when you write something.  You can call someone a jerk, add a :-), 
  38. and hopefully what you said will be interpreted as a joke.  There 
  39. are hundreds of them, and new ones being created all the time.  
  40. Unfortunately, they don't mean the same thing to everyone ;-).
