- Well, you raise a good issue, perhaps without meaning to. Who
- are you to judge the value of someone else's interpretation of
- the Bible? What is your authority to do so? Why should we
- care if what Bishop Ussher thought the Bible said seems 'false'
- to you?

- IMHO, all this is is the oft repeated event of successive
- generations bringing their current interpretation of the Bible
- into line with what Science currently says, by declaring that
- some of the wilder speculations about what the Bible is saying,
- produced by previous generations, are now "false".

- The irony here is that it means that Science determines what
- people read into the Bible.
