  21. facts every now and then.  Killing babies is certainly commanded (in 
  22. connection with the Conquest), but where in the Bible do people rape and 
  23. kill their own children at the command of God?

  25.     By the way, what makes you think the command about not eating  
  26. animals that die of natural causes has anything to do with health?   After all, 
  27. it does occur in the context of regulations about ritual purity.  I'm not 
  28. saying it couldn't have been intended as part of a health code, but do you 
  29. have any reason for thinking that's what it was?
