- I think I know the ones you are talking about then. I have seen pictures of a really
- massive crossbow that had a tripod stand. Came across them when I was reading up on
- crossbows prior to making my own. (Still have not done so, but have most of the
- parts scrounged up.) I thought you were talking about a modern equivalent. If I
- remember, these old ones had the crank built in. Then there were the ones the size
- of a catapult....HATE to get hit by the bolt out of one of those!
