- except that both of the people who were passing judgment on me are
- sexually active and have been for a while; they've both had several
- lovers. of course, if you asked they'd say they were "in love" with
- everyone they've slept with. i'm just really weird about using the
- word "love" at all. i've only said it to four men in my adult life.

- i've thought about the situation a lot since it happened, and i think
- i was at fault for getting so angry simply because i had allowed diana
- to set me up as a role model/older sister type and when she started
- having expectations of me based on that role, i got pissed. it's
- normal to have ideas about how people you look up to should behave. i
- think that what i should have done (and still should do) is explain to
- her that yeah, i know she's not going to approve of everything i do
- but that i've got to live my life the way i need to, and that if we
- have situations where what i'm doing makes no sense to her or makes
- her angry, we should talk it out and i can try to help her understand.
- the bottom line will still be that i'm going to live in the way i
- choose, but maybe if i can help her understand why i make the
- decisions i do, we can avoid this kind of fight in the future.
