  43. Not I.  As long as you don't rant at me unless I absolutely deserve it
  44. (which would be never).

  46. Also, peeve of course calls to mind "peevish" -- e.g. "Oh, don't be so
  47. *peevish*, graham".  Peevish being defined by all sorts of
  48. anal-retentive adjectives such as "querulous, fretful, ill-tempered,
  49. contrary".  Yuck.
