- At least one other soc. sci. person here. And proud of it. I've had it up to
- here with those who equate "hard" science with "difficult to learn" science.
- Christ, they have the wrong definition of "hard"!

- More on this later. But for now, I must recover from yet another period
- of excess ... dark nights ... unpaid bills ... poker debts ... a lucky hand
- at 3:45a.m. that allowed me to slink away only $200 in the hole ... three
- empty bottles of Wild Turkey rolling around the floorboard when the highway
- patrol pulled us over in a snowstorm just outside Truckee, CA ... repeated
- requests to for us to turn the car stereo down ... "Censorshit" by the
- Ramones too good to turn down ... "step out of the car" ... luckily, no search
- ... DUI test performed rapidly on account of bruising wind ... getting away
- with a speeding ticket, but being forced to put on chains while the cretin
- sat in his car and watched ... down the mountain to Davis ... back to school
- ... back to the Anthropology Department.
