  28. Well, I have a counter-example to this. Seems like around this time
  29. last year a FOAF I met at a con and I were kind of circling around each
  30. other and went out a couple times but to no avail. I was attracted to her
  31. but her not to me. We stayed friends over the next few months and about a month
  32. after she broke up with her then-LDR last summer, we started hanging together
  33. again and shortly thereafter commenced with boinking like rabbits for about 2 months
  34. before we found out that we both wanted vastly different things from life and that
  35. was pretty much that. We both had fun and we're still friends, so.....
  36. I of course have to follow this up with the fact that this is the first time I
  37. had a friendship turn into something more several months after the initial
  38. meeting, so maybe it is true...
