- Subject: ANTI-MARIJ. PERSON NEEDED FOR NATL TV!
- Lines: 35
-
- Rob Kampia, the President of the Undergraduate Student Government
- and the unofficial advisor to NORML (Natl Organization for the Reform
- of Marijuana Laws) at Penn State is scheduled to appear on
- LIFETIME TV (The Jenny Pratt Show) in early March to debate the
- issue of marijuana legalization.
-
- At this point in time, he will be debating an 18-year old girl who
- travels around the country telling kids not to do drugs. Rob, though,
- would rather debate someone who is:
-
- * Blatantly and adamantly ANTI-LEGALIZATION
-
- * Under 30
-
- * Either famous, well-established, or politically renowned
- in some way
-
- * Someone who will argue THE FACTS.
-
- Some choices that have been considered include Bill Bennett (but he's
- too old); local political figures (but not only are these people old, they
- aren't well known and don't know what they're talking about).
-
- ****WE NEED SOMEONE WHO IS VERY VOCAL ABOUT THEIR ANTI-LEGALIZATION
- VIEWPOINT. (The producers of the show will let Kampia debate whoever he
- wants, and he wants to find someone tough.)
-
- If you or someone you know would be willing to participate in this
- nationally televised debate, PLEASE SEND EMAIL TO PENN STATE NORML
- at NMR103@psuvm.psu.edu listing your (or their) qualifications based
- on the above list, the address and tel. # at which you can be
- contacted, and what times you would be available for a phone call.
