- Yeah, sometimes I wonder. I'm a loyal liberal Democrat who backed
- Clinton the whole way, and now we have Lloyd Bentsen and all these
- other closet Republicans in the Cabinet. Then Bill Clinton sent Chelsea
- to private school, a slap in the face to all D.C. residents. I can't
- forsee any real change at all; corporate greed will doubtless continue.
-
- Yeah, I wonder. What are the Democrats really all about? They
- don't tell us. I wonder if they're any better than the Republicans. I
- mean, at least with Reagan and Bush you knew the working man would get
- fucked over ; it was obvious, and they made no real attempt to conceal
- the truth (except on foreign policy). The Democrats? We don't know.
- They seem to be better, but are they? Most of them aren't willing to
- suppress the right to legal abortion, order tax money for Catholic
- schools to brainwash children with sexist and homophobic ideas, or
- abolish the government assisatnce that so many Americans need to
- subsist. But they seem to have no problem imposing the unjust death
- penalty or supporting an fascist regimes in El Salvador and other
- countries that practices intellectual repression and economic
- subjugation (all for the benefit of U.S. multinational corporations).
- Well, still I wonder. With each passing day, I lose more faith. Are the
- Democrats just the Republican party with a nicer face?
