  10. I'm gearing up to read Nietzsche's _The Will to Power_ in English and
  11. German, side by side.  My problem is with the editions I have.

  13. My English edition is the standard Vintage edition, edited by Walter 
  14. Kaufmann.  However, my German edition is the one edited by Karl 
  15. Schlechta, which was renamed to _Aus dem Nachlafs [sic] der 
  16. Achtzigerjahre_.  According to Kaufmann, Schlechta reorganized the 
  17. entire book, placing the sections in a different order than the 
  18. original German editors.  Kaufmann's edition follows the order of 
  19. the original German edition.

  21. Here's my question: has anybody 
  22. ever attempted to cross-reference Schlechta's mixed-around edition 
  23. with the standard edition, so that a reader could find the same 
  24. passage in Schlechta's and the "standard" edition?  Is there an 
  25. index like this in print, or does it exist in anyone's unpublished
  26. scholarship that they would be willing to share with me?

  28. This would make it much easier to read these books in tandem.  Any
  29. help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
