- Well, actually, I tend towards calling A. a reptile, but then I am in the
- minority there. [I would place the boundry between dinosaurs and birds at
- the first organism to have a clearly defined sternal keel - that is I would
- limit birds to the carinate forms - A. is non-carinate].

- Yep, and given Dr. Chatterjee's track record in deriving phylogenies, I will
- accept Protoavis as a bird when several people *other* than Dr. Martin of K.U.
- say the evidence is compelling. [Note: Dr. Chatterjee's style of deriving a
- phylogeny is so odd that I would never listen to him on that subject].
