  17. I agree with all of your previous statements regarding speed of legislation
  18. and definite answers to scientific problems.  I still feel activism designed
  19. to gain high publicity through radical events is detrimental to the entire
  20. process.  Much of the environmental awareness that has come about recently
  21. is highly attributable to scientific realizations and grass roots campaigning,
  22. not high publicity activities.  I'll admit - there are two connotations to
  23. activism - the radicalist connotation must be dropped in order for activist
  24. groups to succeed.
