  17. I was going to make some sarcastic remark about how nice it is living 
  18. living in Florida and all but I realized that would be cruel.

  20. On New Year's Day, we went down to the New River and walked around
  21. in the sunshine (in shorts and tee shirts), watched the boats go by 
  22. and just generally soaked in the atmosphere in the Fort Lauderdale 
  23. historical district.  Later in the afternoon, we took a hour-long 
  24. water taxi to a riverside bar, got a table on the water, watched a 
  25. splendid sunset, and quaffed some rumrunners.
