- Yesterday I went to Burger King for the first time in a while,
- and discovered that they had followed the McDonald's marketing
- ploy of switching to recycled paper bags and wrappers. The
- paper bag was of course covered with self-congratulatory comments
- on how many pounds of trash they were saving by doing this, et
- cetera, und so weiter.
-
- This would have been vaguely encouraging, had their long eco-blurb
- not ended thus:
-
- "All in all, it's just one of the ways we're trying to make the
- world a nicer place to eat."
-
- Burp.
