- It's been a while since I last lived in Finland, but if I remember
- correctly you still have to pay some kind of a tax for maintaining
- your records. The official business of the Church of Finland is to
- maintain records of the population, and that's one of the official
- reason they need money. The other reason is that without money
- the Lutheran church in Finland would most likely crumble due to
- lack of support.
