-
- You are entitled to your opinion, but the support you provide for it
- is faulty:

-
- The slave was legally the property of the owner. A fetus is not and
- never has been the property of her mother.
-
- > Denied personhood by some. Denied personhood by some.**
-
- In my opinion, the personhood issue is a red herring and irrelevant to
- abortion rights. However, to answer your statement, legally a fetus
- is *not* a person and a slave (in the US) was legally 3/5 of a person.
-
- > Abortion abolitionists say Slavery abolitionists say
- > person. person.
-
- Abortion abolitionists can say person all they want, but it has
- nothing to do with abortion rights. No entity (human persons
- included) is allowed to occupy the body of another person against
- their will. Further, a 5 year old child cannot legally compel its
- parent to donate bodily resources, e.g., blood, tissue, or an organ,
- to save its life. Why do you want to give special rights only to
- entities that occupy the bodies of women?

- How interesting.

- A slave is not occupying the body of its owner.
