- Superficially, perhaps, but only superficially. While it doesn't require
- too great a stretch of the imagination to believe that a Jewish woman
- would be 'surrounded by Christians' in a medium-sized midwestern city,
- it is much harder to accept the notion that the entire female population
- of a large Texas city should use a bodybuilder-type paradigm as an
- inflexible and absolute dating criterion. I didn't notice any messages
- arguing her claim that a lot of people in her area are Christian, but I
- recall a lot of messages from both women and men disputing Edward's claim
- that all women would only date men who were very conventionally good-looking
- and muscular. (Incidentally, I suspect that the criterion "Jewish" is
- slightly less restrictive than "must have a PhD in one of the following
- subjects....")

-
- Arguable, but "not having a right to bitch" has never stopped anyone
- before, so it's unlikely that it'll have much effect now. Still, you
- may have some work ahead of you to convince the rest of the world that
- no one has a right to complain about the lack of available dating
- material unless one would be willing to go to any bar in town and
- accept the first offer, regardless of personality, appearance, sex,
- or criminal intent.
