  27.    Simple.  It's only an ultimatum if explicitly stated.  If the woman has
  28.    no idea that a second date depends on her response to the "suggestion"
  29.    of her treating the next one, then it becomes a selection criterion.

  31.    It's very similar to other selection criterion that are commonly used.
  32.    For example, personally, a woman either has to have a compatible sense of
  33.    humour to mine, or I will not pursue a relationship.  But I don't say "you
  34.    have to laugh at my jokes or else there will be no second date."

  36. So not only does she have to jump through hoops, but the hoops are
  37. invisible (to her) and she must accurately guess where they are.
