- Yes Nancy, on occasion, they itch. The cause? There are several
- contributing factors. On men who are not circumcised, the extra
- flap of skin traps droplets of urinary secretions, which occasionally
- seep out, and soak the underwear of the male. This in and of itself
- will cause an itching sensation. However, depending on environmental
- factors, such as temperature, and left untreated, this combination of
- heat & moisture will contribute to the growth of bacterium, thereby
- increasing the likelihood of the itch factor. Also, as some people
- [male & female] shave all or part of their pubic region, the stubble
- of hair growth will possibly cause an itch sensation, much like
- growing a beard sometimes does. I hope this has enlightened you, Nancy.
