  28. Nah--Desiree knows perfectly well it's an ad-hominem attack; she's just
  29. enjoying it.  It all has the flavor of one of those playground romances
  30. that starts with the girl demonstrating her affection by throwing rocks
  31. at the object of her interest and he responds by pulling her pigtails--
  32. the way these things work, the two of them will probably be engaged by
  33. summertime.
