- Yes, well... Despite the fact that the crowd (and the
- *decorations*!) at the Lone Star were *incredible* on New Bear's
- Eve [spelling intentional], I thought they were a wee bit
- chintzy.... I mean, every other bar I've ever heard of at least
- gives away a glass of cheap champagne at midnight, and the
- Gauntlet II here in LA has free drinks -- that's *anything*
- behind the bar, not just well liquor -- for 15 minutes after
- the New Year begins.
