- So?
-
- I'll say it again, so?
-
- What should we do then, *reward* their stubbornness by sending them
- our $$$ and our business? Of COURSE there's a backlash, we still have
- to get over the heterosexist priv hump first. See, we're impinging on their
- way of life, nasty us. We're demanding equality and they want us silent.
- They don't like what we're doing because it upsets their idyllic
- homosexual-free existence. The numbers in the stats say that *in principle*
- most people don't have a problem with equality, but IN PRACTICE they
- aren't too sure about it.
-
- Keep pushing --- eventually it will break. Giving up now,
- pretty much is the same as going back into the closet. You
- can expect me to believe that the CFV is about to stop with THIS win
- do you? Even inside of COlorado? They're sitting back and waiting
- to launch phase 2.
-
- Notice that "home rule" doesn't seem to matter much when it
- comes to queer rights. IF they were to put it in for everyone, I'll
- bet there would be quite the uproar.
-
- As I see it about 40% of the people in CO are probably our friends.
- That's much higher than it would have been 5 years ago. We just
- need to keep pushing, keep being resolute, and keep being out and
- visible.
