- It depends on the bar, of course. When I was trapped in the
- Twin Cities, there was a nice little neighborhood bar that I would
- frequent and lug copies of The New Yorker to. Only got picked up
- once there, though, and that was by an ex-boyfriend. (This bar
- tried it's best to imitate a pub, so was a wee bit more laid-back
- than the run of the mill bar; though I've also lugged books and
- magazines into straight bars so I can have something to do while
- there.)
