- Hmmmm. I just saw a bit of video on leeches used for medicinal purposes.
- Maybe they shoulda considered one? Apparently certain leeches produce
- anticoagulating, antibiotic, and other biochemicals that prevent nasty
- stuff from happening when, er, in use. In the video, they showed a guy
- with a finger reattachment. Apparently the larger blood vessels could be
- reconnected surgically, but the smaller _return_ vessels could not. There-
- fore, his blood was stagnant in the reattached digit. Using a leech to
- draw out excess blood *worked*..
