- Okay, I'm not phrasing my explanation very well, but the best term
- I've heard for this was heterosexism. Phobias imply fear, which isn't
- exactly the case. Phobias are... accepted in society. People make
- allowances for them. I'm not belittling phobias at all. For a long
- time, I went into quaking fear at the thought of needles. Made trips
- to the doctor a real joy, let me tell you. But people use phobias as
- excuses. And "homophobia" should be inexcusable.
