  19. Okay, I'm not phrasing my explanation very well, but the best term
  20. I've heard for this was heterosexism.  Phobias imply fear, which isn't
  21. exactly the case.  Phobias are... accepted in society.  People make
  22. allowances for them.  I'm not belittling phobias at all.  For a long
  23. time, I went into quaking fear at the thought of needles.  Made trips
  24. to the doctor a real joy, let me tell you.  But people use phobias as
  25. excuses.  And "homophobia" should be inexcusable.

  27. Calling it heterosexism groups it with racism and sexism as
  28. undesirable behavior.
