  20. The story that was circulated when it happened was that Montague
  21. was fond of picking up rough trade; and one such murdered him in
  22. his house (with the unspoken implication that the motivation
  23. was either anger or larceny).  It wouldn't surprise me if this
  24. were a sanitized version, and the version above were perhaps
  25. more accurate.  I'll make inquiries.
