  17. A friend of mine at the CS department (I was in Physics at the time)
  18. tipped me off about a gay newsgroup called motss (though I seem to
  19. recall it was called net.motss at the time).  From '83 through '90
  20. I read intermittently as time and circumstances permitted until another
  21. friend tipped me off about agora, a public access machine here in
  22. Portland.
