- I wish I had said it so clearly.

- But I do have a quibble. The tewnty percent mark is a guess because the
- reported cases of women-child abuse have been historically few. Only
- (I think) in 1990 did it start coming to public notice that women
- could be involved. To most authorities the idea was almost impossible
- to formulate because of the so-called maternal instinct. There is also
- the strongly held belief that women only abuse when dominated by men,
- the moors murderers being typical examples.

- So, I would find it nearly impossible to include figures for woman-child
- abuse in the figures because they are the great unknown.

- hear them.
