- Well, fortunately there are many who don't remain silent, but you are
- right that there are far too many that do. This sort of complicity,
- which is easy to justify ("I didn't do anything to you"), is just
- what allowed the Nazis to do as they liked in Germany. I am not
- a Christian, nor even conventionally religious, but I believe that
- human nature is such that we are our brothers' keepers, whether we
- want to be or not.
