- Katz's "Gay American History" (an all around great book) has a good
- personal account of a man's experience with electroshock therapy when
- his parents tried to "cure" him. It's quite frightening, almost put me
- off of psychologists all together. I know it's in the first edition, I
- haven't read the second but I'd be surprised if he removed it.
