  40. soc.motss is part of the *official* usenet newsgroup hierarchy, and as such
  41. requires voting and lots of consensual action by sys & news admins around
  42. the world.

  44. What I'm asking is if there is *any* sort of official *usenet*
  45. recognition that we can point to when and if some site 
  46. blatantly disregards provisions of a chartered newsgroup
  47. that has been officially voted into the soc. hierarchy?

  49. The rest of the net is probably unaware that there have been a series of
  50. individuals and sites over the years who use soc.motss as a 
  51. pigeon shooting range. People who disregard our stated charter
  52. and molest the regular readership of the group for their own amusement
  53. or whatever.

  67. from the usenet news.gods or whoever, about what kind of steps we can take
  68. to at least have a technical high ground to stand on when invasions
