  11. PBS, in the American Playhouse series, ran the Canadian film
  12. _Strangers in Good Company_, about a group of women who are
  13. no longer "of a certain age" stranded in the middle of nowhere
  14. when their bus breaks down.

  16. Even my spouse, who grudgingly gave up our more usual
  17. action-packed Monday night fare, was captivated.  (And we
  18. certainly wouldn't have seen it if Tovah Hollander hadn't
  19. phoned-- just before I went out to lunch with Emily Rizzo--
  20. to let me know it was happening.)

  22. Now, if the preceding cast of characters isn't enough name 
  23. dropping to provide the ObMotss, one of the characters
  24. comes out to another in as gentle a conversation as you
  25. could imagine.  Well, actually, there are lots of comings
  26. out, but only one, I think, as a lesbian.

  28. My favorite part:  the panty-hose fishnet.  Both when they
  29. set it up and when it works.
