  31. I'm afraid I'm missing your point, Elf.  I agree it hardly
  32. makes sense to hold a person accountable for their genetic
  33. endowment, whether it's the hairiness, the race, or
  34. whatever.

  36. If you mean I'm suggesting we should hold people accountable
  37. for things they *can* change, since that's closely allied
  38. with a common canard about sexuality, I'm not suggesting
  39. that principle be applied to *all* things.  Clearly we can
  40. hold people accountable for *some* of their choices, but
  41. probably not all.  And in the great debate over whether
  42. sexuality involves choice, I'm in the "not on the
  43. existential level" camp.
