  16. It was still net.motss when I started reading (oops, dating myself :-)).
  17. I had found Usenet maybe a few months before, and was looking thru
  18. the list of newsgroups (which was much, much smaller then).

  20. I didn't think it was particularly hard to find. But then I've always
  21. had a nose for sniffing out things I'm interested in in relatively
  22. obscure places. Before I met any gay or gay-friendly people,
  23. I'd already read lots of Samuel Delany, seen stills from Rosa von
  24. Praunheim films, corresponded with the people who did JDs...
