-
- Several days ago, Mara asked for other lesbians' reactions
- to Greg's response to Tracey. This may be late, but it's here.
- Deal.
-
- It seems like those who know Greg, either personally or
- through reading soc.motss for a while, took his response
- as genuine interest in something exclusively lesbian,
- that being "lesbian backrooms" and not "backrooms" in
- general. I get the sense that Greg has frequented many
- a backroom and was wondering how Tracey's experience or
- any lesbian's experience in a backroom "for lesbians"
- differed from the experiences he has had in backrooms
- he has frequented. Not in "equiptment" or specific acts, but
- moreso a wondering on etiquette, form and atmosphere.
- ...those "unspoken" rules that give shape to a backroom or
- even a newsgroup.
-
- Am I wrong, Tracey, or are you a relative new-comer
- to motss? I won't even try to speak for Tracey or her
- unnamed "lesbians in agreement" and what their motss
- history is, but I would venture a guess that they don't
- have a feel for Greg yet, and responded as if Greg were
- one of the numerous email idiots that get off responding
- to posts by wimmin with lewd, inane comments, questions
- and propositions.
-
- How do you describe how to separate innuendo from content
- and tone, so that old-timers/those who understand the
- etiquette of motss are served without having to explicitly
- say "to you newbies, when Greg says this it means "<...>"
- whereas if you were to say this, you'd get flamed crisp
- because your feelings on this subject aren't as well-
- known"??
-
- It's a natural progression of whatever "...ships" email
- builds between people that given the same sequence of
- words coming from varied peoples' keyboards, the meanings
- would _NOT_ be interpretted similarly in all cases. If
- you read some of Melmud's postings and suspend reality
- [this is difficult but try hard, I know you can do it]
- long enough to fool yourself as to who the author is,
- you might hear something different once or maybe twice.
- But he is such bedsore that his words become slanted by
- previous opinions he has expressed here in the past.
- I saw The Fly recently and wished it would regurg in
- Melmaggot's direction ... I even offered to tend to
- Geena Davis but it wasn't to be, I s'pose.
-
- I'm sure we all have erupted unfairly in an innocent's
- direction. Tracey apologized. Greg is a wise man who
- has been rather sympathetic to human error in the past,
- and has a robust sense of humor[are you still wearing that
- Italian horn as a necklace, Greg? 8-)]. The only casualty
- here seems to be Steve Dyer. How'd _that_ happen? 8-)
