- Yow! Sounds wonderful!

- The joy of freeform DJing is discovering all the connecting threads in
- seemingly incongruent songs, and wedging them together into some coherent
- amalgamation; going from Tribe Called Quest to Pharcyde to Stereo MCs to Fats
- Comet to Loudspeaker to Head of David to Trouble Funk to Ronald Shannon
- Jackson to June Cortez to Fugazi to Cypress Hill; stop for a breath, read off
- everything, and dive back in with John Coltrane to Sun Ra to Nels Cline to
- Lightning Hopkins to Albert Ayler to John Lee Hooker to Godflesh to Pain Teens
- to Current 93 to Gang of Four to Death by Milkfloat to Pink Floyd to the Orb
- to Woody Guthrie; and on and on.

- American commercial radio is stupid, designed to appeal to the lowest common
- denominator by businesspeople so fixated on the bottom line that they don't
- give two shits about the music or the listeners. (Most college radio is
- exactly the same.) Being a good disc jockey used to be an art form.
